La Terrazza is the Italian restaurant of Hotel Xenia, set in a historic mansion on Cromwell Road. It is a restaurant for the neighbourhood as much as for hotel guests : most evenings, the tables are filled by Londoners and visitors who book in advance, which gives an atmosphere of a place people choose rather than a place they happen to be staying.
Dinner here is built around the three course experience. Head Chef’s seasonal menu uses speciality products imported from across Italy, cooked to order, and the pace is unhurried. The point is conviviality : a table that lingers, a bottle that is poured with care, and a team that knows the room. Service is warm and personal, and the people behind it are very much part of what makes an evening here.
The day begins early, with breakfast served from 7am in the bright conservatory, followed by set lunches, afternoon tea and Aperitivo on the terrace. The bar keeps the room company all day, and the Living Wall Bar, among its herb garden, is the place for a cocktail before or after dinner. In the warmer months, an outdoor cigar offer adds a more leisurely close to the evening.
La Terrazza also hosts conferences, banquets and meetings, with a choice of offers to suit different occasions, from corporate gatherings to private celebrations.
