Stripped back French living for modern homes
Recreating the romance of French countryside living is something Bridget King truly enjoys.
With a finely tuned eye, developed from decades in the fashion industry, her bespoke interior design service has a reputation for transforming spaces with both carefully chosen items and lovingly restored pieces to reflect the client’s life and style expertly.
A lover of old, beautiful, handmade furniture, she is attracted to the uniqueness and superior quality in comparison to some modern mass-produced items. Re-imagining and up-cycling existing furniture not only creates a bespoke piece for the client’s home, but it is also environmentally sympathetic.
Bridget’s clients are predominantly second-home owners or those who’ve made the move to France permanently. The client may have found their dream home on the Côte d’Azur, but it needs a new look - perhaps a dated interior to refresh, or a space waiting to be brought to life.
“Clients find it challenging to buy what they want in a country they are not familiar with, and that’s where I come in,” she says. “I can source furnishings and fittings, create layouts, mood boards, suggest suppliers, and provide the client with useful resources to help them create a unique and bespoke interior. “I like to say I can find the impossible.”
Bridget is a lover of natural fabrics and textures and is driven by a passion to create beautiful interiors for clients. Whether it’s restyling a kitchen or creating a quiet space on the terrace, Bridget prides herself on listening to the client's requirements and always aims to exceed their expectations.
